I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the
Admiralty to acknowledge the receipt of your letters of the
25th March and 12th April 1898 Nos.6680/98, and 8053/98
respectively, on the subject of the purchase of Mr Sharp's
property at Hong Kong, and I am to request that the
necessary deeds and assignments may now be prepared for
the conveyance of the property in question to the Admiralty.
2.
The Commodore in Charge, Fong Kong, has been
authorised by telegram to make payment of the purchase
money, 375,000 dollars, to the Colony, when the deeds have
been duly executed and the property legally vested in the
Admiralty.
